History
Roy and Jennie Blomquist founded Campanillas del Sol in 2000, with the goal to create an audition only community handbell choir that would allow a group of skilled ringers to gather together and ring advanced level music. Roy and Jennie used their extensive connections within the community to spread the word of their newly developed choir. Soon, they had formed a fourteen member non-profit choir that rehearses three hours per week and that rings a variety of secular and non-secular music. Campanillas del Sol regularly performs at churches, retirement communities, and other facilities around the valley.
Campanillas falls under the IRS classification of a nonprofit, educational association. It is an independent organization, not sponsored by a church, school, or college.
